Meet Marty
I’m officially running for Public Advocate following the latest failures at City Hall. New Yorkers are living with the fallout of bad policies: bail reform, sanctuary city mismanagement, corruption, and low standards. Many have asked, “Is NYC beyond repair?” My answer: absolutely not. New York has rebounded before, and it can again. To fix NYC, we must do two things:

-
Confront Socialism and City Hall's Incompetence: The current leadership’s Socialist-driven, “please everyone” approach has failed. It’s time to replace Eric Adams, Brad Lander, Jumaane Williams, and others responsible for the current mess.
-
Focus on Core Issues: NYC needs a back-to-basics approach: safety, sanitation, schools, and infrastructure. We should stop wasting resources on distractions like international conflicts, campus protests, and risky experiments in criminal law.
By attracting top talent, cutting wasteful spending, lowering taxes, and revitalizing pride in our city, we can restore NYC as a global leader. A streamlined focus will ensure excellence in fewer, but critical, areas.

You bring your votes, and I’ll bring my expertise to help New York thrive again. Let’s rebuild together. I look forward to meeting you on the campaign trail.
Marty and NYC
Marty has been NYC’s most outspoken Democratic leader against socialism.
In 2023 he ran against Representative Jamaal Bowman in NYS 16 th Congressional District, fighting for non-partisan Redistricting, in particular simplifying boundaries and protecting against the gerrymandering away of NYS Jewish communities’ political power.
In early 2024, following Redistricting, Marty collected 12,500 signatures in the South Bronx/Northeast Queens 14th Congressional District to win a ballot spot to challenge Representative Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez in the June 2024 Democratic primary.
During 2024’s campaign Marty was one of the earliest and most vocal Democratic donors advocating for Joe Biden to step aside, against corruption in NYC, and for municipal law and order.
In 2024, Marty joined the Let’s Improve Roosevelt Avenue (LIRA) coalition, bipartisan elected/non-elected leaders tackling issues caused by the influx of illegal immigrants in Queens.
The LIRA coalition was formed after two East Elmhurst policemen were shot and crime spiraled,NYC’s government completely unprepared. LIRA worked door by door against prostitution, unregulated street vendors, retail crime, and de-funding the police.
In late 2024, the LIRA coalition succeeded in lobbying Governor Kathy Hochul to send over 70 NYS troopers to Roosevelt Avenue to close illegal brothels and restore law and order.
The bipartisan LIRA coalition's success was celebrated at year end around the first ever neighborhood Christmas Tree at Roosevelt Avenue and 90th Street.
Marty has 40 years’ experience advising corporations and regulators across the United States, the UK, Europe, and Asia. He announced his candidacy for the role of NYC Public Advocate in 2025.
